Lund
Evoking a sense of escapism and connection with nature in urban living spaces.
Lund is the result of a collaboration between the Danish furniture company BoConcept and three students at Emily Carr University of Arts and Design. Considering the current global situation and how it has changed how individuals live, work, and play within their homes, both challenges and opportunities for personal/shared environments are becoming more fluid and temporary. This shift created a challenge to design a series of intimate objects that work within this collective system exploring the cooperative modes of living, working, and playing in smaller living environments.
The Danish word Lund, when translated into English, is Grove – a small wood, orchard or group of trees.
